In January 2001 I received an introductory email from author Michael MacCambridge. Michael had been investigating BCS computer polls and had run across my website which includes various historical information dating to 1869. Seems as though that was exactly what Michael had been searching for. You see, his dream was to create an honest to goodness, complete, all out best you’ll ever find college football encyclopedia. Funny...that was my dream too. Michael lived in St. Louis and I lived in Oklahoma, but a few short weeks later we had our first meeting at a Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Dallas, Texas and ESPN’s College Football Encyclopedia was born. There is no way I can ever thank Michael enough for bringing me onboard for this project. I was truly honored to be a major contributor, including the All Time Scores, Poll Progressions, Conference Standings, and my greatest honor, to have my computer rankings listed right next to the AP and Coaches polls as “official national champions’ in college football. The encyclopedia is available at fine bookstores everywhere and online at Amazon.com .
