In January 2001 I received an introductory email from author Michael MacCambridge. Michael had been investigating BCS computer polls and had run across my website which includes various historical information dating to 1869. Seems as though that was exactly what Michael had been searching for. You see, his dream was to create an honest to goodness, complete, all out best you’ll ever find college football encyclopedia. Funny...that was my dream too. Michael lived in St. Louis and I lived in Oklahoma, but a few short weeks later we had our first meeting at a Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Dallas, Texas and ESPN’s College Football Encyclopedia was born. There is no way I can ever thank Michael enough for bringing me onboard for that project. I was truly honored to be a major contributor, including the All Time Scores, Poll Progressions, Conference Standings, and my greatest honor, to have my computer rankings listed right next to the AP and Coaches polls as “official national champions’ in college football. Over the course of the next several years I had an opportunity to work on two other projects “The Big 10 Encyclopedia” and the just released (August 2009)  “SEC Encyclopedia”. All 3 are currently available at Borders Bookstores and online at Amazon.com .
